The National Association of Kogi State Students, NAKOSS, has elected new executive members to lead the organisation at the national level. the elected officials would pilot affairs of NAKOSS for the next one year.
The election, which held on Friday at the Confluence Stadium in Lokoja, Kogi State Capital, saw Comrade Shuaibu Stephen Enyojo emerged President of the student body in a unanimous decision by all delegates at the convention.
Reacting to the victory, Comrade Enyojo thanked delegates for finding him worthy of the position, and appreciated all stakeholders for ensuring a peaceful exercise devoid of rancour.
“We sincerely thank the outgoing Executive members ably led by Comrade Troy Adeiza for their immense contributions to the growth and development of NAKOSS. They, undoubtedly, did their possible best to uplift the association. We also thank other past leaders, stakeholders and many others who, in one way or the other, contributed to the growth of our great NAKOSS,” he said.
While assuring of the willingness on the side of the elected officials to improve on existing legacies, Enyo called on all stakeholders to join in establishing new legacies for the betterment of all Kogi State students anywhere in the world.
He commended members of the Electoral Commission for a job well done.
“Once again, we most sincerely thank the students in Kogi State for handing us their mandate purely on trust. We will not fail you,” he said.
